OPRY rechargeable lint remover
22,90 €Knitwear care tools for cleaning and storage
Knitwear care depends on the fibre, yarn construction and how the item is used. A suitable comb, lint remover or fabric shaver can help refresh the surface, but the tool should be chosen for the individual piece and used carefully.
How to remove lint and pills
Place the item on a flat, firm surface and work on a small area with light movements. Do not stretch the fabric or press the tool too firmly, as this could damage the stitches. Test it in an inconspicuous area first, especially when the fibre is very fluffy or the fabric is fine.
Why does fibre content matter?
Wool, cashmere, alpaca, cotton and synthetic blends wear and respond to care differently. Always follow the yarn or garment label and the instructions for the particular tool. For washing, choose detergents for knitwear, and use blocking tools to restore shape.
How to store knitwear
Before storing an item for a longer period, make sure it is clean and completely dry. Fold it so that unnecessary stretching is avoided and store it in conditions suitable for the fibre. Find further supplies in the main knitting and craft accessories category.
