Each fibre requires different care, so it is always worth reading the label of the yarn. However, there are some universal rules that apply to most handmade knitwear.<\/p><h4 dir=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/siulubangos.lt\/en\/product-category\/accessories\/accessory-type\/detergents\/\">Laundry<\/a><\/h4><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\"><ul><li dir=\"auto\">Hand wash or gentle cycle: if the label allows, it is best to hand wash in cool water (not above 30 \u00b0C). If you do choose to use a washing machine, use the wool or hand wash programme and make sure that the spin speed is as low as possible.<\/li><li dir=\"auto\">Use the right detergent: use a special, mild detergent designed for wool that does not contain strong chemicals or enzymes. Avoid normal washing powders as they can damage the fibres.<\/li><li dir=\"auto\">Avoid soaking: don't soak your knitwear for long periods of time. If the knitted fabric wrinkles, hang it in a humid environment (e.g. in the bathroom after a shower) to allow the steam to help restore its shape.<\/li><li dir=\"auto\"><a href=\"https:\/\/siulubangos.lt\/en\/warm-season-knits-how-to-choose-the-perfect-yarn-for-spring-summer\/\">Cotton and linen yarns<\/a>: These fibres are more resistant and machine washable. However, be careful with hot water as this can cause shrinkage. Dry horizontally to keep the shape.<\/li><li dir=\"auto\">\u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/siulubangos.lt\/en\/product-category\/yarn\/composition\/acrylic-yarn\/\">Acrylic yarn<\/a>: Easy-care, machine-washable fibre.
