Description

BC Garn LOCH LOMOND LACE - fine organic tweed for lace (100% organic wool)

Discover the BC Garn Loch Lomond Lace, the softest version of the traditional tweed, made from 100% GOTS certified organic wool. It is the finest lace-weight yarn available and combines the natural charm of rustic tweed with a special softness and lightness. This single-strand woollen spun yarn exudes authenticity: it feels fluffy as soon as you start knitting, and after washing and blocking it blossoms even more, becoming softer, softer and more fluffy. Your knit will be warm but light as air because the air pockets in the yarn structure trap heat without weighing down the knit.

Why choose BC Garn Loch Lomond Lace?

  • 100% organic wool (GOTS) - certified from the sheep to the final dyeing process.
  • Mulesing-free - the wool is sourced from ethically managed South American sheep.
  • Lightweight, warm and fluffy - the perfect choice for scarves, jumpers, shawls and lace.
  • The natural tweed effect of subtle colour flecks gives depth and character to the knit.
  • Combining with other yarns - try with mohair or alpaca for a soft cloud.

Knitting tip

As it is a single-strand wool yarn, knit more loosely and let it show after washing. After blocking, the knit will be even softer and more even - a guaranteed bloom effect. Perfect for both single stranded knitting and layering with mohair or alpaca yarns if you want a luxurious texture or extra warmth. Ideally, you should knit a swatch before you start knitting, wash it and watch what happens to it. Then you'll know exactly which size of bobbin to choose for the desired result.

Knit care

  • Never tumble dry.
  • After 1-2 washes, the knitted fabric is fully visible.
