Description

Bertagna Filati by Arvier GRINTA (25% alpaca wool, 25% wool, 50% acrylic)

GRINTA is a coarser-textured, warm and reliable yarn designed for expressive, characterful knits. This yarn is perfect for those who want a fast knitting result, a vibrant texture and a practical knit for everyday wear.

The high yardage per ball (150 g/220 m) allows you to knit larger projects using fewer balls, making your work more comfortable and economical. Alpaca wool provides natural warmth, softness and excellent thermo-regulating properties, while wool provides structure and elasticity, and acrylic increases the yarn's strength, durability and ease of maintenance.

For the recommended 7.00-8.00 mm cords the knitted fabric is chunky, has a clear texture, grows quickly and is visually striking. This yarn is ideal for both plain and embossed designs - plaits, chunky patterns or minimalist surfaces where the character of the yarn itself is important.

Perfect for:

  • for warm jumpers, cardigans and jackets,
  • for thick scarves, shawls and muffs,
  • for hats and other winter accessories,
  • for projects where you want mass, weight and comfort.

GRINTA yarn is suitable for beginners looking for an easy-to-use yarn with quick results and for experienced knitters who want to create bold, structured knits.

Knitwear care:

  • Choose cold or warm (up to 30 degrees) water for washing - wool and alpaca are heat sensitive.
  • Use a mild detergent suitable for wool.
  • Hand washing: immersion, gentle shaking, not vigorous rubbing or drilling. After washing - wring out the water with a towel.
  • Drying your knitted garments flat, on a towel or a blocking mat, avoiding hanging or hot drying, will help them keep their shape and prevent deformation.
  • Avoid hot drying in direct sunlight/radiators as the fibres may discolour or deform.
