Surgical stainless-steel needles for smooth knitting

ChiaoGoo TWIST interchangeable needles are made from surgical stainless steel for precise, smooth knitting. They can be used both in the round and flat, from socks, gloves and hats to sweaters, shawls and other larger projects.

The satin-finished steel surface reduces glare and lets yarn glide smoothly. Precisely tapered tips are convenient for small stitches, lace and textured patterns. Needles in 2.75–10 mm sizes are hollow, so even the thicker sizes remain relatively lightweight.

The interchangeable TWIST connection securely joins the needles to a cord with the matching thread size. ChiaoGoo TWIST cords have a steel core and a nylon coating, so they remain flexible and resist kinking.

Needle lengths and sizes

• 8 cm needles: 1.5–3.25 mm with a MINI thread and 3.5–5 mm with an S thread;
• 10 and 13 cm needles: 1.5–2.5 mm with a MINI thread, 2.75–5 mm with an S thread and 5.5–10 mm with an L thread.

ChiaoGoo connector compatibility

TWIST and SPIN products use the same M, S and L thread sizes. Needles and cords are laser marked, so check their markings before connecting them.

• M (MINI) — for MINI needles and cords;
• S (Small) — for S-thread needles and cords;
• L (Large) — for L-thread needles and cords.

MINI products are not directly compatible with S or L threads. A suitable ChiaoGoo adapter is required to connect different thread sizes.

Important when choosing a short cord

The 10 and 13 cm MINI needle tips are too long for use with 5, 13 or 15 cm MINI cords. If necessary, the cord can be extended with a MINI connector. ChiaoGoo MINI SHORTIES 1.5–3.25 mm needles are used only with MINI-thread products.
