Short interchangeable needles for small-circumference knitting

The ChiaoGoo TWIST Red Shorties MINI set is designed for small-circumference knitting such as socks, mittens, hats, baby garments and sleeves. The 5 cm and 8 cm stainless steel tips form circular needles measuring 23–36 cm. Tips of different lengths can also be used together, making small projects more comfortable to knit.

The pointed Lace tips are suitable for lace, cables and textured patterns. The flexible, memory-free steel cable helps prevent twisting and sharp kinks, making the knitting easier to manage.

Contents of the MINI set

• 12 pairs of tips (M thread): 6 pairs measuring 5 cm and 6 pairs measuring 8 cm; sizes: 2 mm, 2.25 mm, 2.5 mm, 2.75 mm, 3 mm and 3.25 mm.
• 3 red TWIST cables (M thread): 13 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm long.
• 2 cable stoppers, 4 tightening keys, 2 cable connectors, 6 stitch markers and 1 needle gauge.
• Red 12 × 9.5 cm zippered case with accessory pockets.

Thread sizes and compatibility

TWIST and SPIN products use the same thread sizes, so parts with the same thread size are compatible. All interchangeable needle tips and cables are laser-marked with the corresponding thread size:

• M = MINI – suitable for 1.5–2.5 mm needle tips (10 and 13 cm) and 1.5–3.25 mm needle tips (8 cm).
• S = Small – suitable for 2.75–5 mm needle tips (10 and 13 cm) and 3.5–5 mm needle tips (8 cm).
• L = Large – suitable for 5.5–10 mm needle tips (10 and 13 cm).

MINI products are not compatible with S and L thread sizes, so MINI interchangeable needles must be used only with MINI cables.

The 10 cm and 13 cm MINI interchangeable needle tips are too long for 5 cm, 13 cm or 15 cm MINI cables. The cables can be extended with a MINI cable connector.

ChiaoGoo also offers adapters for connecting products with MINI, S and L thread sizes.

Important exception

ChiaoGoo MINI SHORTIES interchangeable needle tips in sizes 1.5–3.25 mm are compatible only with MINI-thread components.
