Short interchangeable needles for small-circumference knitting

The ChiaoGoo TWIST Shorties LARGE interchangeable needle set is designed for small-circumference knitting. The 8 cm tips and short cables are suitable for sleeves, hats, children’s garments and other projects that require larger needle sizes and a short overall circular needle length.

Features and benefits

• Precision and comfort: the 8 cm stainless steel needle tips are pointed, making them suitable for lace, cables and textured patterns.
• SWIV360 cables: the included cables are made from multi-strand steel and coated with nylon. They have no memory, and the connector rotates through 360 degrees.
• Flexible system: the included cables form 30 cm and 36 cm circular needles, while the cable connectors allow several cables to be joined into a longer system.
• Organised storage: the bright yellow case has labelled needle compartments and a zipped pocket for accessories. The case can be attached to a knitting bag.

Contents of the LARGE set

• 4 pairs of TWIST Shorties tips (L thread): 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 6.5 mm and 8 mm.
• 3 SWIV360 cables (L thread), forming two 30 cm and one 36 cm circular needles in total length.
• 2 cable stoppers, 2 tightening keys, 2 cable connectors and 6 stitch markers.
• A red heart-shaped rubber grip for holding the needle tips more securely when tightening them.

Thread sizes and compatibility

TWIST and SPIN products use the same thread sizes, so parts with the same thread size are compatible. All interchangeable needle tips and cables are laser-marked with the corresponding thread size:

• M = MINI – fits 1.5–2.5 mm needles (10 and 13 cm) and 1.5–3.25 mm needles (8 cm).
• S = Small – fits 2.75–5 mm needles (10 and 13 cm) and 3.5–5 mm needles (8 cm).
• L = Large – fits 5.5–10 mm needles (10 and 13 cm).

MINI products are not compatible with S and L thread sizes, so MINI interchangeable needles must be used only with MINI cables.

The 10 cm and 13 cm MINI interchangeable needle tips are too long for 5 cm, 13 cm or 15 cm MINI cables. The cables can be extended with a MINI cable connector.

ChiaoGoo also offers adapters for connecting products with MINI, S and L thread sizes.

Important exception

ChiaoGoo MINI SHORTIES 1.5–3.25 mm interchangeable needles are compatible only with MINI thread products.
