DMC 14 ct water-soluble canvas makes it possible to cross-stitch on a wide range of textile items. Attach the 20 × 22 cm grid to the fabric, stitch the design and dissolve the canvas in warm water when finished. Check the fabric and thread for colourfastness before use.

DMC water-soluble embroidery canvas, 20 × 22 cm
DMC water-soluble canvas helps create even cross-stitches on denim, clothing, fabric bags and other textile items. It temporarily provides a regular grid and dissolves in warm water after the embroidery is complete.
How to use
- Attach a piece of canvas to the chosen area of the fabric; baste it lightly in place if necessary.
- Stitch the chosen design directly through the canvas and the fabric.
- When finished, immerse the fabric in water at 40–50 °C. The canvas dissolves in approximately 5–10 minutes.
Key details
- For different fabrics. Suitable for cotton, linen, denim and other materials that can be washed in warm water.
- Even count. The 14 ct grid (5.5 crosses/cm) helps keep cross-stitches even.
- Removed with water. Once dissolved, the canvas does not leave the stiffness associated with waste canvas.
Important: before use, check that the embroidery threads are colourfast and that the fabric can be soaked in water at 40–50 °C.
