Himalaya WOOL SOCKS PRINT – patterned sock yarn
Himalaya WOOL SOCKS PRINT is a specialist sock yarn whose colour sequence creates stripes and multicolour patterns in simple stocking stitch. It combines the warmth of wool, the durability of polyamide and an expressive result without changing between several yarns.
What makes this sock yarn special?
- Self-patterning effect (PRINT): there is no need to change balls or plan complex colourwork—the yarn creates stripes and multicolour patterns in simple stocking stitch.
- Balanced blend: 75% wool provides warmth and breathability, while 25% polyamide increases wear resistance at the heels and toes.
- Comfort: knit and wash a swatch first, especially if the socks are intended for sensitive skin.
- Versatility: also suitable for gloves, scarves, hats and warm sweaters.
Practical tip
One 100 g ball (400 metres) is enough for a standard pair of socks up to size 43–44. For longer cuffs, keep a second ball on hand to match the pattern. To create similar colour sequences on both socks, start at the same point in the repeat.
Care note
The polyamide content makes WOOL SOCKS PRINT more resistant to shape changes than pure wool. Items can be machine washed at 30 °C on a wool cycle. Avoid harsh fabric softeners to help preserve the yarn’s elasticity.
