Size gauge for knitting needles, crochet hooks and tension swatches
The ChiaoGoo needle gauge helps identify the size of unmarked knitting needles and crochet hooks or tools whose markings have worn away. The integrated ruler can also measure tension swatches, stitch gauge and small details.
The gauges are made from durable white plastic. Choose the 13 or 20 cm version according to the required needle-size range and ruler length.
Options
- 13 cm gauge: for 1.5–10 mm needles, ruler length — 120 mm;
- 20 cm gauge: for 1.5–19 mm needles, ruler length — 190 mm.
How to use
Insert a knitting needle or crochet hook into a hole in the gauge. The correct size is the hole that allows the tool to pass through freely without wobbling. Place a tension swatch against the ruler and count stitches and rows across the chosen length.
