DROPS Melody – brushed alpaca and wool yarn
DROPS Melody is a light, airy yarn made from 71% alpaca, 25% wool and 4% polyamide. The brushed surface gives projects volume and a soft halo while keeping the fabric lightweight.
Technical information
- 50 g / approximately 140 m; yarn group D (12–15 stitches), 12 ply / chunky.
- Recommended needle size: 8 mm; tension: 12 stitches × 14 rows per 10 × 10 cm.
- Suitable for relaxed jumpers, cardigans, scarves, hats and multi-strand projects where extra volume is wanted.
Care
Hand wash only at up to 30 °C and dry flat. The yarn can felt, so do not wring or rub it, and do not use fabric softener.
Origin and certification
The yarn is made in Peru. The alpaca and wool come from South America, and the polyamide from Germany. DROPS Melody is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, Class II (No. 23.HPE.36896).
