Katia ALPAQUINA is an exceptionally soft, lightweight yarn made from 75% superfine alpaca and 25% polyamide. Its high alpaca content gives knitted fabric softness, comfort and warmth, while polyamide improves strength and resistance to wear.
This fine yarn offers generous yardage: each 100 g skein contains 360 metres, making it ideal for lightweight yet warm knitwear. The manufacturer recommends ALPAQUINA for socks, while its soft superfine alpaca fibre also makes it suitable for sweaters, cardigans, scarves, hats, gloves and clothing for babies and children.
One of the main advantages of Katia ALPAQUINA is easy care. The yarn is specially designed so that finished items can be machine washed at 30°C on a wool cycle. This is particularly practical for everyday clothing, socks and children’s knitwear. Katia ALPAQUINA combines luxurious alpaca softness with the practicality and durability needed for everyday knits.
