BC Garn LOCH LOMOND LACE – soft organic tweed yarn for lace
BC Garn Loch Lomond Lace is a fine, single-ply, woollen-spun tweed yarn made from 100% GOTS-certified organic wool. Compared with the heavier Loch Lomond yarn, this lace-weight version retains the rustic tweed character while feeling softer and lighter. Its airy structure traps warmth without excessive weight, and the yarn blooms after washing and blocking, giving the fabric a fuller, softer surface.

Knitting tip
Because this is a delicate single-ply, woollen-spun yarn, avoid knitting too tightly. Wash and block a swatch first to see how the yarn blooms and to choose the right needle size and gauge. Use it alone or hold it together with mohair or alpaca for extra texture and warmth.
Care instructions
- Hand wash only in cool water at up to 30 °C and avoid sudden temperature changes.
- Use a mild wool detergent and soak for 12–15 minutes without agitation.
- Do not wring or rub. Gently press out excess water and dry flat.
- Do not tumble dry.
- The yarn blooms and the fabric settles after the first one or two washes.
