DROPS Alpaca
DROPS Alpaca – 100% alpaca yarn spun from three strands. It gives knitted fabrics warmth, lightness and a subtle natural sheen. Alpaca fibre contains no lanolin; the manufacturer describes it as hypoallergenic, but for sensitive skin or baby knits, we recommend knitting and washing a swatch before starting the project.

- 100% alpaca and a three-strand construction for a smoother, more even knitted fabric.
- 50 g / approx. 167 m; recommended needle size 3 mm; tension 24 stitches × 32 rows per 10 × 10 cm.
- Suitable for jumpers, scarves, hats, cardigans, shawls and lace patterns.
- Held together with DROPS Kid-Silk it creates a fuller fabric with a soft, fluffy halo.
Care
Hand wash only at up to 30°C and dry flat. The yarn may felt, so do not machine wash.
Certification and origin
DROPS Alpaca is made in Peru, and the alpaca fibre also originates in Peru. The yarn is certified to OEKO‑TEX® STANDARD 100, certificate no. 16.HPE.92779, Class II, issued by the Hohenstein Institute.
