Tropical Lane ALTA MODA – shimmering bouclé yarn for summer
Italian-made Tropical Lane ALTA MODA gives spring and summer knits distinctive texture and a subtle glow. It is well suited to modern garments and accessories where a decorative surface is part of the design.
Distinctive bouclé texture
ALTA MODA stands out for its textured (bouclé) strand construction. Cotton fibre is wrapped around a polyamide core, creating small loops that give the fabric a raised surface. The yarn looks striking even in simple stocking stitch and helps make minor variations in tension less noticeable.
Metallised polyester adds a subtle shimmer, while polyamide supports durability and shape retention. The high cotton content keeps the yarn pleasant to the touch.
Yarn for knitting and crochet
The medium-weight Tropical Lane ALTA MODA yarn (50 g / 90 m) can be worked with knitting needles or a crochet hook. Its textured strand creates a distinctive fabric relatively quickly.
