DROPS AIR – lightness you will love from the first touch
DROPS AIR is a medium-weight blown yarn made from 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide and 7% wool. Its construction creates volume with very little weight; the manufacturer states that garments can be around 30–35% lighter than those knitted in conventional yarn of the same thickness.

- Blown yarn construction: alpaca and wool fibres are blown into a fine polyamide tube, making the yarn airy and light.
- Composition: 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide and 7% wool.
- 50 g / approximately 150 m; recommended 5 mm needles; tension 17 stitches × 22 rows per 10 × 10 cm.
- The fluffy texture suits stocking stitch, cables and other textured patterns.
What can you knit or crochet?
DROPS AIR suits relaxed-fit jumpers, cardigans, scarves, hats and other warm accessories. For sensitive skin, knit and wash a swatch before starting the project.
When DROPS AIR is held together with DROPS Kid-Silk, you can create an even fuller texture with a delicate halo.
Care
Hand wash only at up to 30 °C and dry flat. The yarn can felt; do not machine wash.
Certification and fibre origin
Fibre origin: alpaca and wool from South America, polyamide from Germany.
DROPS AIR is certified to OEKO‑TEX® STANDARD 100, certificate no. 22.HPE.07484, Class II, by the Hohenstein Institute. This means the yarn has been tested for harmful substances and is suitable for items worn directly against the skin.
